In this quick video, Craig explains what concrete nibs are and why they are essential to meet today's building code on a typical reclad project. A must-watch for homeowners planning to reclad. Concrete Nibs provide satisfactory clearance between the exterior and interior ground levels and also the exterior cladding. The minimum height requirement between the bottom of cladding and a concrete driveway/path is 100mm (bottom of cladding to soft ground i.e., lawn is 175mm). Ultimately a concrete nib provides assurance that water should not breach the ground floor of a home.
